How to Fold Your Pocket Squares
The Points
One of my favorites used by many Italians. This fold refers back to the Italian’s word Sprezzatura which translates to to do intentionally but with ease. This fold is worn these days even in more formal settings but is a great way to add texture to a suit.
The Presidential
The most formal fold of the set. The presidential fold is one that was most worn in the 1960s by businessmen and creatives alike. It’s clean, percise and with hard edges. I like to add my own little touch by shifting the edge just slightly to draw the eye.
The Puff Fold.
The puff fold is one of my all time favorites. It wears nicely in the pocket with lighter weight pocket squares. This fold reminds me of the Chrysanthemums that used to grown in my grandmothers garden. A generous fold that shows the full pattern of the pocket square. It’s also a great way to add visual to a plain colored pocket square as the fold will cast shadows.
